I am currently working for a federal public defender firm in East
Tennessee and we will be moving into new office space by the end of
October. I have just started organizing a library that has been
maintained by whomever happened to have the time to put in the
supplements. I don't even know which subscriptions are current. Anyway,
we will be moving soon and I am looking for some statistics on how much it
costs to house/maintain books in a law library. My reasons for this are
two-fold. First, space is extremely tight and our growth rate is about 4
to 6 inches a month. Second, I need some way of comparing hardcopies
versus CD-ROM products of reporters, code and digests. I could also use
some names of shelving and library supply vendors.
