HEAD OF REFERENCE: William Mitchell College of Law Burger Library
seeks an experienced librarian to manage and participate in the
reference department functions of the library, including reference
desk service, library instructional programs, faculty services,
database searching, computer lab services and departmental
publications. This person will supervise a staff of four full-time
equivalent reference librarians. Essential functions include but are
not limited to communicating aurally, orally and in writing;
manipulating print library materials; entering and retrieving
computer data; interpreting data from print and electronic resources;
and working with frequent interruptions. Qualifications: JD from an
ABA-accredited school; MLS from an ALA-accredited school; three years
law library reference experience. A strong knowledge of law library
technology and previous supervisory, management, and teaching
experience preferred. Open until filled. Competitive salary,
