Cross-posted to several legal education, information & technology lists.
Apologies for duplication.

Members of this list may be interested in some significant changes to the
Michael Geist Web Lecture Series in the LEXIS Legal Education Web site.
Part research tool, part casebook, and part tutorial, each Web Lecture
guides users through 30-40 sites relevant to law students and the legal
community.

Web lectures on the following topics have been added to the earlier Torts
lecture:

1. CONTRACT LAW - including discussion and links to contract archives,
sources of contract law, and contracting in the computer age.

2. PROPERTY LAW - including discussion and links to estates in land,
future interests, landlord and tenant issues, land use, and takings.

3. CONSTITUTIONAL LAW - including discussion and links to historical
documentation, commerce clause issues, equality and race, and first
amendment freedoms.

4. CRIMINAL LAW - including discussion and links to criminal liability,
criminal capacity, homicide, fraud, victim's rights, and sentencing issues.

5. CIVIL PROCEDURE - including discussion and links to the court system,
jurisdiction, class actions, jury trials, appeals, and civil litigation
issues.

6. LEGAL RESEARCH & WRITING - including discussion and links to writing
resources, citation, and an introductory guide Web based legal resources.

In addition to the Web Lecture series, a new column on law and technology
as it impacts the legal education community is featured. This column takes
a final, A-Z look back at the year in cyberspace law.

All of the above materials can be accessed at the LEXIS Legal Education Web
site at the following url:

http://lawschool.lexis.com

The LEXIS site now requires a one-time, free registration. Registration is
open to anyone in the legal community. Although the weekly column can be
accessed without registering, all other materials require a password. Once
registered at the site, the materials can be accessed by linking to the
"Web Lectures" section.

In the coming months, look for additional web lecture topics as well as some
design changes that should make navigating the lectures easier. Since
additions to the Web Lecture series and new columns may arrive at irregular
intervals, I am offering an updating service that will notify interested
parties of new content. To subscribe, send an email to
mailto:mag76@columbia.edu with the subject line "Web Lecture Update".

Comments, suggestions, and other feedback on the Web Lecture series or the
regular columns is encouraged.

Thank you for your time.
