It had been requested that I post information that I requested to the list on
the subject of meta tags that are vastly different than what was on the Web
Page itself. Most of the responses that I got were not to specific Web Pages.
The one specific site was to Findlaw ( http://www.findlaw.com ). It was a
great example of HOW to utilize meta tags. The others were to potential
searches that could lead me to results. Those searches were
1) HotBot and "law" in the title
2) Excite on "legal treatise"
3) Cindy Chick vs "Cindy Chick" (difference being with and without the
quotes)
I didn't have the time to actually check any of these out. I was actually
trying to find something more in line with the type of meta tag abuse that has
spawned recent cases...but couldn't find anything. I thank everyone for their
help in this project.
I'd also like to thank everyone in the Law Library community for their help in
the past many many years (especially those in DC). This (hopefully - it sure
is late enough!) is my last official act as a Law Librarian. I'll be staying
home; as well as working part time (?) as an adjunct faculty member at York
College here in PA. Y'all are a great bunch of people who run way way ahead of
the curve. Thanks!
-See ya in the Funny Papers!!
