Hello,
As part of a project to consider a new design for the college seal,
I have been asked to collect visual symbols of the law. The scales of
justice is probably the most well known example.
I have looked at the logos of some legal associations and
publishers and at the covers of some of the more venerable law
books. I have also looked through our encyclopedias and other
reference books and done some Internet searching.
Does anyone know of any resources, reference books, whatever,
that collect legal graphics or deal especially with visual symbols of
law? Does anyone have any ideas for such a symbol? We are trying to
brainstorm for ideas right now, so any creative thoughts would be
welcome.
