I was quite concerned (disturbed may be a
better word) back in early 1995, when the Baker
McKenzie incident occured. For a while it
seemed as if the relevancy of what I did for a
living was being questioned. Add to that the
ignorance (which is sometimes our fault) of the
powers to be of many of the things I really do,
and all of a sudden I was feeling pretty blue.

Getting close to the 3 year anniversary of that, it
was kinda ironic that this article would come out.
Like others have said in the thread, our
profession is in the best position (if we are
flexible enough to adapt to the changing
environment) to benefit from and benefit the
information boom which is fast becoming a
reality.

I feel very confident in my abilities and purpose
as it pertains to my work, and hope I can
continue to do so.

Thanks :)
