Actually, B&T and Brodart are two jobbers that offer Marc records on
diskette, based on a profile that the customer sets up with them in
advance. The profile can be modified if the holdings information
doesn't conform to whatever online system you have. When I was with the
public libraries, this service cost an extra $0.25 per book, and they
seemed to be fairly accurate for public library use. I cannot attest to
their accuracy regarding specialized library collections such as law.
