I am trying to locate a document that confirms the US adopted or ratified
a treaty titled "Convention Against Torture and other Cruel, Inhuman, or
Degrading Treatment or Punishment". This treaty was originally entered
into force on June 26, 1987 and I do have a copy of it. What I now need
is something that proves the US ratified it on October 20, 1994. I have a
reference from an immigration treatise that states "entered into force
for the US 10/20/94 [Senate] Treaty Doc. 100-20."
Any suggestions? I have tried US Code Congressional & Administrative
News and US Statutes at Large. I have also looked at the US Senate
internet site, but could only find recent ratifications.
Any help would be most appreciated.
