I'm still receiving feedback on my posting about using security strips on
CD-ROMs that circulate to the public. We are a large public library that
also circulates commercial CD-ROMs and to meet the public demand for this
media we need some sort of security. Our Head of Circulation has queried
other listserves and at the moment the 3M product seems to be the only
thing being used that seems to work. I realize that some government CDs
may have preservation problems especially if they are not superseded. But
if they are superseded what would be the problem of labeling or marking the
CD? As of yet we have no reports of the 3M strips coming off in people's
computers or falling off the CDs.

Thanks again for all the input,
Linda.
