So, what do law school librarians think of the new LEXIS-NEXIS Xchange
(http://lawschool.lexis.com)?
It's a simplified interface; it doesn't seem to support segment searching.
It also doesn't support ECLIPSE, as far as I can tell; perhaps that will
be coming in the future. And the user authentication is definitely
counter-intuitive: you have to enter your LEXIS-NEXIS ID as "user ID," and
your *last name* as "password"! On the other hand, I imagine this is the
wave of the future--using a Web browser instead of proprietary software to
access databases like WESTLAW and LEXIS-NEXIS.
(Also, it doesn't appear to be available to non-law school users yet.
Sorry; not my decision.)
