MCI Telecommunications Corporation is seeking an Research Analyst for
its corporate library in Washington, DC. The selected candidate will
perform a wide range of professional and administrative duties
including reference services, online searching of electronic
databases, and other research support.
Candidates must have initiative, excellent organization skills,
ability to work well with customers and co-workers, positive service
orientation, computer literacy, and a demonstrated ability to work
well in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements include: - MLS or MLIS from an ALA-accredited school;
four to five years of professional library experience, preferably in a
corporate or other special library environment; experience in online
searching, especially business databases on DIALOG, Dow Jones,
LEXIS-NEXIS, Internet and other systems. Telecommunications and/or
legal research background and experience with automated library
systems desirable.
