Hi law-libbers,
I am in need of someone's expertise with procite. I am using Pro-cite 3.3
and am finding it somewhat difficult. The problem arises when you actually
create a bibliography from the records you have stored using pro-cite.
I am downloading my procite records into wordperfect. Then I have to do
extensive editing in WP to get the format I am seeking for the final
output of the bibliography. However, as I'm working along in WP I may
notice that a record from pro-cite contained incorrect data or was
incorrectly sorted. At this point, because of record numbering and sort
order being
crucial to my application, I must make the changes in pro-cite rather than
WP because any change will affect the numbering sequence and sort order.
But if I have to go back to pro-cite and edit, then recreate the
bibliography in WP, I lose all the formatting work I've done already in WP
and I have to start editing from scratch. Am I missing something here or
is this just the imperfect nature of the pro-cite software?
If anyone has used pro-cite extensively, not just as a storage database
but in conjunction with WP or some other word processing software, I would
really appreciate your insight. Please e-mail me with your phone number
and I'll call you, or you can call me at the number below. Thanks in
advance.
