In response to Lyo's question:

This survey is authorized by the Association and I encourage those of
you who received it to use the dollar, have the coffee or soft drink
and complete the survey and return it.

The purpose of this survey is to obtain data that will assist those of
us responsible for meeting planning and exhibits management to serve
you better by marketing the AALL Annual Meeting Exhibit Hall to
companies that you need to see in order to make well informed decisions
about products and services.

In addition, the Professional Development Committee is interested
learning more about why you attend the Annual Meeting and what
registrants need from the entire meeting. Meeting attendees have the
opportunity to comment on the Educational Content of the meeting by
completing Program and Workshop Evaluations and this survey is an
attempt to provide an opportunity for comment on other facets of the
Annual Meeting.

The survey was sent to a random sample of 500 registrants at the 1997
Annual Meeting. The cost of the survey is being underwritten by
Hall-Erickson, Inc. the Exhibits Management Company for the AALL Annual
Meeting.

I encourage those of you who received the survey to complete it and
return it. If you have questions, give me a call or send me an e-mail.
We are using an independent research firm in order to assure the
validity of the results.

Thank you,

Martha
