I have a question regarding a car rental service who requires renters
under age 25 to purchase liability insurance. The car rental service
_requires_ purchase of their liability insurance even if the under 25 year
old renter already has complete liability insurance of their own that will
cover a car rental.
Have tried: Unfair Trade Practices Act, state statutes, state
administrative law, case law and there is no clear answer saying the
rental agency cannot require this "supplemental" (translation: duplicate)
liability insurance. However, it just doesn't seem right.
Any thoughts, comments, suggestions are greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Angela A. Hodge
