Dear Law-Libbers:
This is directed, in particular, to any fellow bean counters out there
who track law book costs. I am trying to collect 1995 or 1996
supplementation costs for sixteen of the more than 600 legal treatises
covered in the 1997-98 edition of my "Legal Information Buyer's Guide
and Reference Manual." The information will not only be included with
its respective entry, but will will be compressed into a spreadsheet in
a new appendix. Although I was unable to obtain these sixteen costs
prior to going to press, I plan to include a spread sheet containing all
this data at my own Web site before the month is out. My data
includes author, title, publisher, edition, year of publication,
volumes, cost, and 1995 and 1996 supplementation costs, as well as
selected 1997 supplementation costs and, where applicable, CD-ROM costs.
For technical reasons, only 1996 supplementation costs will be included
on the Web site. Forty-eight subject areas are covered.
