We have a copy of "Giving in America: Toward a Stronger Voluntary
Sector," Report of the Commission on Private Philanthropy and Public
Needs, copyright 1975. Appendix I refers to a "Compendium of
Commission research" that contains "all studies, reports and analyses
undertaken for or by the Commission, arranged by subject matter."

We cannot find an OCLC record for the Appendix, which appears to be a
second volume. The OCLC record for Giving in America gives number of
pages information that matches our material (a photocopy provided by
a patron).

We'd like to obtain copies of 4 of the articles mentioned in the
Appendix. We would, of course, pay costs. We did look through the
Social Sciences indexes for the time period, in the faint hope that
some of the material might have been published elsewhere, but had no
success. We know that some of the authors are still around (as
would be the Ohio AG's office) , but the documents are now 27 years
old (at least) and though we may be driven to calling authors, we
wanted to try this avenue first.

The articles we need are:

David Ginsburg, et al. Federal Oversight of Private Philanthropy.

Ohio Attorney General's Office. The Status of State Regulation of
Charitable Trusts, Foundations and Solicitations.

Peter G. Meek. Self-Regulation in Private Philanthropy.

Adam Yarmolinsky and Marion R. Fremont-Smith. Preserving the Private
Voluntary Sector: A Proposal for a Public Advisory Commission on
Philanthropy.

Any assistance will be gratefully accepted.

Thanks.
