"Baltimore Bicentennial Seconds"
The Baltimore Local Arrangements Co-chairs introduce the first in a
series of "digital bites" on some interesting and wacky tidbits about
your host city, also known as Charm City, The City That Reads, The City
of Firsts, and a lot of other aka's.
Did you know that:
* Baltimore is the site of the first diploma ever granted by a
medical school -- Dr. John Archer (1768).
* The Ouiga board was invented and patented by Isaac and William
Field in Baltimore (1892).
* The first American law journal, THE AMERICAN LAW JOURNAL, was
published in Baltimore in 1808. (this may prompt some debate)
