CALI Conference - Updated Info

This is cross-posted to teknoids, law-lib, e-teach and lawprof. I
apologize for duplication (I know, I'LL get four copies).

Over 300 folks have registered for the 1997 CONFERENCE FOR LAW SCHOOL
COMPUTING so far - WOW!

Predictably, the hotel space we reserved has run out and Chicago being the
big convention town it is, the Holiday Inn and Executive Plaza have no
additional rooms to give us. Below are a few alternative hotels that had
space when we called. Unfortunately, the prices are higher and we will not
be able to provide bus service to/from these hotels and the conference.
All of these hotels are in downtown Chicago not more than a mile away from
Chicago-Kent and the conference. Best bet is to walk over to Executive
Plaza or Holiday Inn and take the conference bus to/from there.

I do suggest that you at least *try* the Executive Plaza and Holiday Inn
first in case they have cancellations and a room or two opens up. Here are
the alternate hotels.

   Hyatt Regency: 1-800-233-1234

   Palmer House Hilton: 1-800-HILTONS

   Swissotel: 1-800-654-7263

We have been updating the conference schedule fairly regularly on the
wesbite. The latest update includes a complete description of the food
being served during the conference - just reading it is mouthwatering.

If you have not registered for the conference and plan to attend, please do
so as soon as possible so that we can get the counts right for materials,
food, buses, etc. We are looking forward to a great conference. If you
have any questions, contact me directly at jmayer@cali.org. Thanks!
