Govdoc-l archives mystery: update (and jury duty plug!)

The govdoc archive mystery is not yet solved. The only site someone
told me to check matched the one I knew was no good:
gopher://burrow.cl.msu.edu:70/11/news/archives/bit.listserv.govdoc-l

You will instantly see why if you link to it.

I was also aware of the batch file system of searching govdoc-l, but for
obvious reasons do not consider that an acceptable message of tracking
messages, though it is a perfectly (well, not quite perfectly :-) fine
method for searching for a specific reference.

It IS possible that someone sent me a message that would solve the
whole mystery. I was called to jury duty shortly after I posted the
message and for the next week or so was a mite frazzled, what with
running between the courthouse and work. I could very well have
missed a very important message! Feel free to send it again and I'll post
to the list.

By the way, jury duty was great. (Yes, even with my backround I was
picked. Actually voir dire was very funny, which is probably why the
lawyers figured I should be on the jury!) Don't avoid it if you are called. I
thought I'd be bored out of my mind (I'm not much of one for either
reading or watching courtroom "dramas"), but instead found the whole
thing fascinating. If nothing else, think of it as continuing education. But
it really is more than that. Of course it helps to have a super judge and a
great bunch of fellow jurors.
