One of my attorneys is looking for a history of driver's license statutes
and/or regulations in all or some of the United States. Ideally, he would
like a source that discusses the evolution of a system that permits
drivers licensed in one jurisdiction to drive with impunity in another
jurisdiction.
I have used Lexis/Nexis to search in ALR, law reviews, and general
periodicals. I have also searched the Web. I have spoken with the
Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators (who administer the Driver's
License Compact, which permits states to exchange data on offending
drivers - close to what I'm looking for, but not truly on point).
I'm being driven to distraction (pun fully intended) trying to find this article
- can any of you help?
Thanks in advance -
