We use a vendor to order materials that are published from GPO on many occasions. It can be more expensive but they are often more reliable. Two local vendors in the DC area are:
Bernan
Accents
I would be happy to send you additional information on these vendors if you are interested.

If there is someone from GPO lurking out there, I would like some help in
trying to figure out who to call to get the 1997 CFR that we paid for but
which nary a volume has arrived. Mailing a copy of the cancelled check
didn't solve the problem. Thanks for any help.
>> William, Good luck on getting this. It once took me over a year (no
lie) to get some publications I had ordered from them, and then they sent
me
two copies of everything. I have an annual subscription to the CFR's, and
the GPO regularly misses sending a few of the booklets every year. They
are
so bad and slow about replacing a missing volume that the next year's
title
will be here before you can replace the missing volume. It is ridiculous
how they replace these anyway, one at a time, day after day after day. I
know there is a better and less expensive way.
WOULD ANYONE FROM THE GPO LIKE TO COMMENT ON YOUR ABYSMAL PERFORMANCE.
