Reference Librarian - Position Announcement
William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota, is looking for
a Reference Librarian.
Qualifications: Masters' degree in Library and/or Information Science
from an accredited graduate school and either a J.D. degree from an
ABA-accredited law school or substantial law library reference
experience. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. A
service-oriented attitude.
Responsibilities: Provide a full range of reference services,
including: staffing the reference desk, including some evening and
weekend work; providing research assistance to faculty and other
patrons; searching on-line databases and the Internet; instructing and
assisting patrons in the use of paper and electronic research sources;
teaching Westlaw and Lexis as a part of the Legal Writing program;
other duties as assigned.
Starting Date and Salary: The position is available June 1, 1997, but
the starting time is negotiable. Salary starts at $35,000.
