I came across a federal court web site that has filings (.pdf format) and
case docket sheets available. Could this be the beginning of the end for
PACER and court document delivery services?
If you checkout the U.S. Bankruptcy Court S.D.N.Y. web site
(http://www.nysb.uscourts.gov/) you will find full-text .pdf copies of
motions, orders, notices, etc. for ongoing, "live" cases. From what I
understand the Court requires all attorneys filing documents to do it
electronically via the Court's web site. I checked other federal courts
using a similar domain name scheme (i.e. www.ted.uscourts.gov) but I could
not accesss the majority ("no DNS entry" error). If anyone finds a similar
federal court site please let me know. Thanks.
