STRANGE TELEPHONE CALLS FROM "LEXIS CUSTOMER SERVICE"?

Yesterday, I received a call from someone calling himself
'Bob Mackovitz' of LEXIS Customer Service in Ohio. He claimed he was
calling to check on the quality of service that we have been receiving
from LEXIS.

After speaking with him a few minutes I realized he was not very
knowledgeable about LEXIS education subscriptions. He asked me what
databases we subscribe to, how students access LEXIS, etc. All
were questions that a normal LEXIS employee would already know.

When I told him of the few problems we were having with LEXIS he
laughed (!!) and tried to offer me an 'extended' service plan(???)

This made me a bit suspicious, so I managed to get his name and
telephone number. When I called the number today, I found it
did NOT connect to LEXIS, and no one with that name worked at the company!!

Has anyone else received a similar call?
