AALL Institute (I-1) -- INTRODUCTION TO AMERICAN LAW: LAW FOR THE NON-JD
We are very excited about our institute, INTRODUCTION TO AMERICAN
LAW, and hope you will consider coming. It is aimed at law librarians who
do not have formal legal training but are curious about the American legal
system. We have an excellent faculty lined up who will use a variety of
teaching methods. Participants will be exposed to a range of topics in the
typical law school curriculum, from torts, property, and civil procedure
to intellectual property, ethics, and dispute resolution.
The institute will be held on the campus of the Catholic
University School of Law. Participants may stay in Catholic University
housing; rates are very reasonable.
If you have any questions, please contact either of us.
By now AALL members should have received their registration
materials for the annual meeting in Baltimore. (Nonmembers and members
who did not receive their materials may request them from AALL, (312)
939-4764, events@aall.org. Registration material is also available on
AALLNet at http://www.aallnet.org/events/97_registration.html.)
