In 49 USCA 5307, West has an error in the annotations. On page 377
of the USCA volume covering Title 49 sections 1 to 10100, the last
annotation in the "References in Text" discusses the "Buy America
laws" referred to in subsection (d)(1)(E)(iii). The West
annotation states that the reference "probably refers to section
49101...and the Buy American Act of 1933." This statement from
West is wrong.
The "Buy America laws" actually refer to 49 USCA 5323(j) found on
page 428 of the same USCA volume. This correction is from our
attorney who has attended seminars on federal procurement where the
representative from the Federal Transit Administration has informed
attendees that this is the correct reference.
Knowing West from past history, if they choose to make any
corrections, they will probably correct the electronic formats and
leave the print error.
