The recent "student-at-law" question has raised another question in my
mind about the use of the "at-law" designation. For example, a temporary
secretarial service in Kansas City is called Secretary-at-Law. Where did
the "at-law" come from and is there any danger of misrepresentation of
one's self as attorney if it is used?
Just curious.
