Colleagues:

Thanks very much to those of you who have returned the Survey of
Academic Technical Services Librarians. I am very enthusiastic
about the number of surveys I have received, but I would love to
receive even more.

For those who missed the deadline, I would like to encourage you
to take a little time to complete the survey and return it ASAP.

I hope to publish the results in one or two articles. I would like to
write one article about the current staff size and duties performed
by Technical Services staff. The second article will look at the
future direction of Technical Services as the field of librarianship
changes.

Of course, all results will be reported confidentially without
identifying individual libraries or individuals.
