Does anyone have a copy of the cassette distributed at the 1987
WESTLAW subscriber party at the AALL Annual Meeting in Chicago?
You may recall that one as the summer beach party, and the cassette
contained such hits as "Searchin' USA," "Help Me WESTLAW,"
"Summer Fun," and my favorite, "I Wish They All Could Be Law
Librarians," all done to classic Beach Boys tunes. My sons (ages 14 and
11) liked this cassette so much that it has disappeared from the cabinet
where it should be, and I have been unable to find it. I want to play
portions of it next week for my Copyright class as we consider parodies.
Let me hasten to add that Bill Lindberg has assured me that West received
permission from the copyright owners to produce these songs and
distribute the cassettes, so this is not a *Campbell v. Acuff-Rose*
situation.
If anyone has a copy to lend me for a week or so, I would greatly
appreciate it.
