79 Citation Comment to Judicial Conference

Even though the Administrative Office of US Courts has not made the
electronic versions of the citation report comments they received
available to the public, Tax Analysts, American Assoc. of Legal
Publishers, and HyperLaw have scanned and posted a 300 K text file
with 79 comment letters. See the HyperLaw WEB site. Sorry, it is
one file for now so you need to take it all. We hope to have more
comments up later as they are scanned in.

I have now reviewed the 1200 pages of comments received. Except for
Bob Berring's and Christopher Wren's and West's, it seems that almost
all of the other non-federal-judicial comments are strongly in favor
of the ABA proposal. If those permitted to speak are representative
of the written comments received, then the only opponents speaking at
the hearing will be federal judges and we would expect to seem
numerous state bar representatives speak in favor.

Of course, if they balance the speakers by those for and those
against, then the hearing itself will be misrepresentative.
