JOB ANNOUNCEMENT
CIRCULATION LIBRARIAN
INSTITUTION:
UALR/Pulaski County Law Library is a unique institution, functioning as both an
academic and a county law library to a student body of approximately 260
day and 150 night students; and an attorney population of approximately
2,000. The library's volume and equivalents count is over 250,000 and the
full-time staff is comprised of six professional librarians, three library
assistants and 4.5 FTE classified LATS. The library employs approximately
ten part-time student assistants.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Circulation Librarian reports to the Law Library Director and is
responsible for supervising the circulation desk, most looseleaf filing,
collection maintenance, preservation, providing reference service and
other duties as assigned. This librarian hires, trains and supervises one
assistant, one LAT and approximately seven student assistants. Some
evening and weekend hours are required. The position is tenure track.
Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.

QUALIFICATIONS:
MLS from ALA-accredited library school required. Law library
experience and supervisory experience preferred.
