Subject: AALL Membership
Colleagues:
Please read carefully the article I wrote for February. The
very first paragraph states that the Bylaws change that the
Board will ask the AALL membership to approve would "open up
AALL membership to all groups, yet limit the right of
ELECTED OFFICE TO INDIVIDUALS WHO ARE EMPLOYED AS LAW
LIBRARIANS."
The Resolution that was included in my article was taken
from the report of AALL's Special Committee on the
Renaissance of Law Librarianship. I included that
Committee's resolutions for your background information
only. AALL members will not be voting on that Committee's
resolution. They will be voting on the Board's Bylaws
change, which will published in full in the April AALL
Spectrum.
