Nope, it was "Lancelot Link, Secret Chimp." If I recall correctly,
there was a female spy-chimp named Mata Hairy, and the bad guys
worked for an organization called C.H.U.M.P.

There was also a kids' show in the '60s called "The Banana Splits,"
which featured people in animal suits who sang, showed cartoons, etc.
One of the Splits was an ape named Bingo. (The others were Fleagle
the dog, Drooper the lion, and Snorky the hairy elephant.)

Finally, this has nothing to do with apes, but it's a great bit of
TV trivia: In 1979 or 1980, Michelle Pfeiffer starred in a short-
lived (six weeks or less)cop show called "B.A.D. C.A.T.S."
