Yes! I did the same thing last year while I was working at a law firm
library. I sent out an email to all the employees asking what three books
they would recommend to their friends. I started receiving replies within
minutes, even from some of the most senior partners. We published the
reading list in pieces over National Library Week in the firm newsletter.
It generated lost of discussion and certainly sent me to the public
library with a new list in hand! I also printed why the books were
favored and everyone enjoyed learning about each others favorites.
