A reminder to all SIS members
Upcoming Academic SIS Elections
The Nominations Committee of the ALL-SIS has selected the following two
candidates for the upcoming election for Vice-Chair/Chair-Elect for 1997/98:
Richard Leiter -- Law Library Director and Associate Professor of Law at the
Allen Mercer Daniel Law Library, Howard University School of Law. Prof. Leiter
has been a law librarian for over 15 years, he received his JD from
Southwestern University School of Law and his MLIS from the University of Texas
at Austin.
Ed Edmonds -- Law Library Director and Professor of Law at the Loyola
University New Orleans School of Law. Prof. Edmonds has been at Loyola
University since 1988, he received his MLS from the University of Maryland and
his JD from the University of Toledo.
More detailed biographical information and candidate statements will appear in
the next issue of the ALL-SIS Newsletter. Ballots will be mailed the first week
of May and must be returned to the Secretary-Treasurer by June 10th. Please
recall that further nominations for Vice-Chair/Chair-Elect may be made upon
written petition of five (5) members of the SIS; the petition and a written
acceptance of the nominee must reach the Chair, Prof. Sara Robbins, on or
before May 1. (There is no election for the two-year position of
Secretary-Treasurer this year.)
