Cross-posted to e-teach and law-lib; please forgive the
duplication.

We are thinking of developing a course here at Hamline
University in the use of electronic research in law. This
would begin with advanced training in Lexis and Westlaw,
and would then go on to cover the Internet, Firstsearch, and
some of the other online databases that lawyers might need
to use in order to find information. The focus will be on both
legal information and on non-legal information that might be
used in the course of practice, such as sociological data
(i.e., Sociofile) and psychological information (Psychlit).

Has anyone taught a course like this before? If so, I would
really like to see what your outline looked like. We are still
in the preliminary stages of deciding whether there is enough
information for an entire course. Please let me know if you
have any information or suggestions that might help me.
Thank you very much.
