library lore on Jeopardy

Here's some interesting publicity for libraries: there was a whole category
called "Around the Library" on a Jeopardy! program I saw this weekend. Some
of the questions were as follows (and not all were answered correctly by
anyone!):

1. Answer: The common library classification system named after a large
library in Washington, D.C.

Question: What is the Library of Congress?

2. Answer: The tall, long sets of shelves that hold books; they may be
either "open" or "closed.

Question: What are "stacks?" (No one got this right!)

3. Answer: Novelist [so and so, I can't remember the name] criticized the
replacement of this library fixture with computer lists of library contents.

Question: What is a card catalog?

There were two other questions, but I can't remember them. However, I'm
pretty sure they were fairly simple ones. I think it must have been teen
week or college week or something because the contestants were quite young.

Anyway, I just thought I'd share this little tidbit. Hope you all have/had a
nice weekend.
