There is an excellent book by Tenopir & Ro called FULL TEXT DATABASES,
that has a huge bibliography. If it is still available, you can try
Greenwood Press. It was published in 1990. One of the references is to
David and Marion Blair's work, which was published in Communications of
the ACM in International Classification. I own the book by Tenopir, and
I seem to recall communication with Blair within the last year; if I
find it, I'll forward it to you.
