I had called CCH Customer Service on a
different matter (and have not yet
received the promised follow-up response
from the billing department regarding
renewal status). I mentioned this
issue of unsolicited material
to the customer service rep, who said
she'd pass along my comments along with all
of the others she's received. She said that
the librarians who had spoken with her had
made their opinions known, and she felt
it her duty to pass the word to the higher ups
-- although she wonders if they're listening.
