I have tried a dozen sources to find out what is a "proceeding in
summo jure." A Lexis mega search produces four cases thusly styled,
and no definitions, nor do the usual dictionaries, phrasebooks, etc.
It may be relevant that most of the cases were tax cases brought by
plaintiffs in propria persona.
