A while back I asked for examples of cnflicts checking
software and got three respones:
<<If you could, will you please summarize replies. TIA

I expect lots of firms are in the same position. ALAS had a
conflict
checking database which many law firms used. They tried to
sell it and
recently gave up and stopped providing it to law firms.

Hi Charlene,
Our firm is using the Elite system for our accounting and
conflicts
checking. This system simply allows checking a proposed
client name
against the existing client billing database.

I have done a little checking into the ALAS system which
allows
automatic D&B and other business database searches, but
our firm has
not decided to do any further checking into subsidiaries, or
individual
directors, of potential clients at this time.

I am interested in the results of your inquiry, if you care to
summarize for
the law-lib list, or simply reply.
Thanks!
