An FYI - besides the general law libraries list, LAW-LIB, there are many
other specialized lists for discussion and research on the law of particular
regions of the world (LAT-LAW for instance) or countries (e.g. CLNET
covers Chinese Law). Instructions for subscribing to them are available via
my "Law Lists" at http://www.lib.uchicago.edu/cgi-bin/law-lists (keyword
search feature) or http://www.lib.uchicago.edu/~llou/lawlists/info.html
(browsable texts).
Two of my favorites are INT-LAW and EURO-LEX. INT-LAW covers
foreign, comparative, and international legal resources;
to subscribe, send the following message to the LISTSERV@TC.UMN.EDU:
subscribe int-law Your Name
(e.g. subscribe int-law David Robert Jones)
And EURO-LEX is strong for legal information about any
European country and European organizations); to subscribe,
send the following message to LISTSERV@LISTSERV.GMD.DE:
subscribe euro-lex Your Name
(e.g. subscribe euro-lex Jean-Luc Picard)
It is easy to subscribe to them when you have a question, and to
unsubscribe when your question has been answered. They are also
archived at http://www.ljx.com/
Below is some information about countries represented by subscribers on the
INT-LAW and EURO-LEX lists. Cheers, Lyo (llou@midway.uchicago.edu).
