Some of West's reporters include the advance sheets
free in the charge for the bound volumes - mostly the regionals and the
Federal Reporter and Fed Supp. But a growing number of the specialty
reporters like Veterans Appeals and others have a separate annual charge
for the advance sheets. This is the separate annual charge for the
Federal Rules Decisions Advance Sheets. If you subscribe to several
copies of a reporter, consider how many advance sheets you need now in
light of Westlaw, Lexis, Internet sites, etc. If you don't need them all,
this is an area to vote with your dollars. Cancel a few of these and
spend the money on something like monographs or a new journal.
