In the past few weeks I have noticed that a lot of law-lib subscribers
automatically "cc" personal messages to other librarians to the law-lib
listserv. Before sending a message to the listserv, make sure that it is
something the majority of subscribers will want to read. I am deleting a lot of
messages that are of no importance to the listserv at all. I think that we
should all be a little more sparing with our "thanks" messages as well.
Everyone knows that the listserv works wonders by now. A personal e-mail "thank
you" would be more appropriate. How about it?? Best wishes, Bruce Bosso/NYS
