Hello to all-
Sorry for any duplication. This is just a reminder that the LLSDC
Academic SIS has a Brown Bag Lunch today at George Mason's Law Library.
The meeting will be held in the Patent Room in the law library. Emily
Carr will be speaking on how the staff at George Mason handle the crush
of reference from many different types of patrons.
While George Mason has the typical student and faculty demands, they are
also a public institution that must remain open to the public at large.
Additionally they are just a few blocks from the Arlington, Virginia
Courthouse, and are subsequently overused by the members of the
practicing bar.
This should be a very interesting discussion by someone who has
weathered this reference storm well. I hope all LLSDC Academic SIS
members will attend.
George Mason is located just two blocks from the Metro Station in
Arlington, Virginia - I believe it is the Clarendon Metro stop.
Thanks,
Brian-
