Hello Laura Orr and other law-lib'ers --

Updates and corrections to information listed in the _AALL Directory and
Handbook_ can be submitted any one of a number of ways, which I will
list below; the main point here is: everytime a member requests a change
to his or her membership record, HQ routinely sends out a *written
confirmation* of the change. If, some reasonable amount of time after
submitting a change, you haven't received a written confirmation, please
call *me* and I'll look into it for you.

Changes and corrections can be submitted via

    * telephone (312/939-4764 and ask for Debbie Moore)

    * e-mail to either Debbie Moore (dmoore@aall.org) or me
         (pbeck@aall.org)

    * FAX to 312/431-1097 (attn: Debbie Moore)

    * regular mail to AALL, 53 W. Jackson Blvd., Suite 940, Chicago, IL
         60604.

The last page of each of the last two editions of the _Directory_ is a
form that can be used for submitting changes either by FAX or mail; use
of the form is not required.

We have tried to make the correction of member records as easy and as
surefire as possible. If you have ideas for how we could improve the
process, please let me know.
