First day back from two weeks vacation and I've been asked to acquire a copy of ANSI Standard A12.1 by the end of the day. Our local public library's Sci-Tech Division has current ANSI standards on microfiche, but they were unable to find one with this alpha-numeric designation in their current set. I found a reference to A12.1-1967 in a table at 29 CFR 1910.31, so I am assuming that this is the edition we want. Attorney also wants a copy of A12.1-1973.
The title of the standard is "Safety Requirements for Floor and Wall Openings, Railings, and Toeboards." I searched the ANSI catalog at www.ansi.org, but also was unable to find anything under A12.1. I know that I can probably obtain these old standards from ANSI or Global Engineering, but he wants them by tomorrow a.m.
If there is anyone out there who might have this standard, I would greatly appreciate a fax copy. Happy to pay costs. Need by end of today, for a deposition tomorrow a.m. This is only ONE of the items on a long list of references which we don't have inhouse! TIA.
