Today, I was asked to determine whether the Quantitative Maintenance Criteria
for continued listing on NASD , apply as well to NASDAQ Small-Cap Market
securities. The rules don't specifically say so, but they don't say they don't
either (according to the attorney).
It appeared to me, reading the listing requirements, that they were low enough
to allow for small-cap companies and thus the maintenance criteria would
apply. But, I have found many references to the distinction between the
National Market system and the Small Cap Market.
Has anyone out there encountered this problem? Do you have the name of a
contact and phone number at NASD?
