The managing partner of our office is giving a speech. He wants to know
if the size of damage awards for patent infringement suits involving
the semiconductor industry is increasing or decreasing and by what percent.

So far I have searched news, Legal News, law review, and industry
publication databases in both westlaw and lexis for articles that
might have discussed this topic, and have found none.

I have called the IPLA and the solicitors office of the PTO as well as the
local patent library and several other law librarians.

I have resorted to looking for damage awards on individual cases. So, far I
have not had much luck, locating but a handful of cases and articles that
mention actual dollar awards.

There has to be a better way. If you have done this before, I could really
use your help.

Thanks and Happy New Year!!
