As I sit here in my post holiday stupor trying to figure out how to open
the new Shepard's envelopes without tearing the supplements inside, I
am trying to recall if I read on the list that Appleman on Insurance
was to be sold, divested, spun off or whatever in the West purchase.
If that is so, and Appleman will soon be history, why, then, has West
begun to issue a NEW Appleman 2d? Could it be (snicker) that a very old
set with only limited profits from selling pocket parts is more valuable
to potential purchasers if all its customers can be made to replace their
sets? At least it is hardbound.
Can someone out there who has the list tell me if Appleman is one of the
divestees?
Thanks.
